The Qatar Leadership Conference offers one of the largest professional development conferences for students in the Middle East with over 150 international and local presenters annually. The conference is designed around the concept of developing student and teacher leadership within schools, specifically in MUN, educating towards the sustainable development goals, mental health, diplomacy, and leadership. Following the THIMUN model, student leaders organize the conference and work alongside teachers in developing their skills.

Mission20 was honored to be invited to speak at the Qatar Leadership Conference organized by thimunqatar, QatarFoundation on 18th & 19th October 2018. The talk was on “Mission20’s Goodness Force – Passing the torch!” by Amanat Solanki, Founder of Mission20. The talk was essential as the world’s youth population is increasing, it is crucial to train, educate and mobilize this group to become socially responsible, all with the aim of transforming the world and creating real leaders by 2030 with the directions of Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. Mission 20’s goal is to help hundreds of projects, some of which fail due to implementation barriers and to connect the right people in the form of volunteers and doers to the organizations and movements that need them. This is our Goodness Force model, an easily replicated framework in different cities which would connect young volunteers to community projects. It’s a revolution Mission20 is working on, one that is expected to be a long but beneficial journey.
